Welcome «Hiking lovers»…we are going to enjoy a day of nature and sports, a spectacular day of hiking in which we will see dreamlike landscapes!!
On this occasion Erasmus Valencia VIP takes you to another of the selected hiking trails in the Valencian Community that we have for you, your family and your friends.
It is a simple route, in which we are going to enjoy spectacular landscapes and environments, which also have a great history!
On this hiking route we will cross a Roman aqueduct and tunnels excavated by the Romans more than 2000 years ago.
An aqueduct is a fabulous engineering work designed to move a constant flow of water from one place to another. Looking at it, you have to imagine the number of technical difficulties and the incredible effort that such a construction must have entailed, and even more so if we think of the remote place where it is located in the mountains.
It is considered the third most important Roman aqueduct in the Iberian Peninsula, and without a doubt the most outstanding Roman engineering work in the Valencian Community.
It is cataloged and protected as an asset of cultural interest!!
Water is Chelva’s treasure. Along the municipal route we can enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Chelva River with a quiet walk along The route of water, as well as numerous springs and fountains.
The Water Route is a tourist itinerary with a circular layout, which combines nature and culture in a pleasant walk with rest areas.
Along this route we find the recreational area of Molino Puerto where you can enjoy a picnic area with sports facilities and children’s games. And also places as unique as La Playeta; whose waterfalls and pool become a traditional bathing area; or the Olinches tunnel, excavated in the mountain and that transports us to one of the most abrupt places of the Chelva River.
